Partners in Health

I have been remiss in posting lately, due to vacation and the fact that I've been doing more reading than writing about Haiti lately.

After finishing Pathologies of Power, I decided to make my way through the Partners in Health news archive to follow their journey after the earthquake.

One of the best posts I found includes a link to a New Yorker article about Paul Farmer, which summarizes a lot of what is included in the book Mountains beyond Mountains and is a great window into the man and the organization that I admire so much. Find the link to the article here.

In other updates, I gave a talk to a wonderful audience at the Elks Rehabilitation Hospital in Boise a few days ago and want to thank any new readers from that talk for following my blog! Please contact me if you are interested in donating.

I should be having a phone call with my scholarship donor in the next few days. He agreed to talk to me, which is wonderful, but even if he's interested, the work is just beginning. So much to figure out.
