Kenscoff and Pètionville

We spent the day in Kenscoff with our godchildren. We had mass, gave out gifts, toured the orphanage, played soccer, and caught up. My parents' godson warmed to them quickly despite the language barrier and made sure to have me thank them over and over for the gifts and visit. He's fourteen.

We stopped by the site of the building that collapsed with Molly, Ryan, Erin, and me inside and saw the new memorial. It's a parking lot for a fancy hotel now. The memorial statue is nice. The visit wasn't great. It was hard being there with a group of people no matter how nice they are.

We ended the day with a dinner at the beautiful hotel Montana. A day of extremes to say the least. Haiti is like that.

My godson Kervenson

Jeff, one of our newest special needs kids, came to our permanent home in Kay Christine after being abandoned at St. Damien's hospital.

Kay Christine kids with Jeff.

Beautiful views from hotel Montana.
